I was really excited to receive this staub in lilac it was so beautiful. The inside of the handles are rough as if they weren't painted. I think these must be seconds so I am so disappointed.
I have been using the 5.5 quart Staub for a few years and love it so I decided to get the 7 quart for when I need larger quantities of soups, stews etc. I make Cioppino on Christmas Eve and this is the perfect size pot for it! I look forward to making many great meals in this!
Bought this as a gift for my wife! She loves it. A beautiful fixture on the stovetop. The black enamel coating made it very easy to clean. 7 QT is a good size for cooking large meat pieces or whole chicken. Perfect for a family who loves meat stews and soup.
I bought my Staub originally to make bread with and soon after, I realized that it was so multi functional for so many different things! I still use it for bread but I also love to boil water in it, make sauces, soups, stews with it. The options are endless! I cant wait to add a smaller dutch oven to my collection soon!
I have a 4qt that I have been using for a couple years. I use it to make stews for my husband and I. It is not big enough for 4-6 people so I purchased the 7qt one. I love the way it cooks and the clean-up, so easy. I highly recommend these pots!

I had previously owned a La Chasseur 8 QT Dutch oven that I needed to replace. I am so happy with the size of my new Dutch oven. I am so much happier with the matte black interior. My old pot was a white enamel and it was badly stained.

High quality. Great pot for so many things. Use it for two people normally, but have plenty of room when guests come over and need to cook for more. Not too heavy and lid stay on securely.
This 7qt round Flat Cocotte is perfect for cooking large recipes that require simmering, baking, oven roasting, etc. We bought the 7qt because most recipes inevitably undersell the size of the cooking vessel and you end up running out of room?not with this guy! Ample room for large quantities. We love it so much we?ll be buying a smaller 4qt soon.

When I opened the box, I sighed first. The gray color was so beautiful that I was fascinated. I already have a 5qt pot, but I bought this Staub because I wanted to cook more batches.
I have a couple of smaller sizes cocottes, this 7 quart cocotte has the same size handles with that of the smaller ones which is not proportional to its body size. I just do hope the handle can withstand the weight once this cocotte is filled with food. Still, I?m happy with the product.
I am an armature home cook (enthusiast) who had been researching my first enameled cast iron Dutch oven purchase for some time. All of the research and reviews I had read ultimately brought me to the Staub 7-qt round cocotte. After using it, I can say that all of the amazing things I had read and heard are true. First off, it is absolutely beautiful! The craftsmanship really shines when taking it out of the box and cleaning it up for the first time. The heat retention is unbelievable. Even after taking it off the burner, the pot and the food stay hot for such a long time, which is great for serving directly from it. It does such an amazing job searing and browning meats/veggies, and I love it for making big-batch soups. Absolutely thrilled to have this as part of my kitchen collection.
This 7 quart dutch oven is perfect to cook for a crowd. The color is lovely! It is hefty and the underside of the lid has little knobs that really make a difference with keeping food moist. I did order the pig knob for it, which makes it a show stopper!

I just got this, so I can't speak to the longevity of the product, but so far I love it. I bought this one to replace a cheaper brand that I've had for years, but the coating had worn off over time (probably into all of the food I've been eating). I love the size. We're a family of five and I can easily make a huge pot of soup and has plenty leftover. I also love how tight the lid is. It definitely keeps the moisture inside, which has been a huge plus when simmering sauces for several hours. I also really love the color. I wanted something neutral but not completely white, and the color variation on this is really pretty.
